DESCRIPTION :
Morning Glory flowers unravel into full bloom in the early morning offering you a most wonderful introduction to the new day. Morning Glory plants are known for their fast growth, twining habit, attractive flowers, and tolerance for poor, dry soils. Plant Morning Glory seeds at the base of a trellis or fence and watch this fast grower provide you much needed summer reprieve, with beautiful trumpet-shaped flowers to boot! Most Morning Glory flowers are treated as perennial plants in frost-free areas and annual plants in colder climates. While most of the Ipomea genera bloom in the morning as their name indicates, plant the popular Ipomea Alba, Moonflower, for blooms once the sun goes down.
Morning glories thrive in a strong, well-drained soil in a sunny site with plenty of water, but they will do well almost anywhere. The seeds have a hard seed coat and should be nicked or soaked for two hours in warm water before sowing. If the seeds are nicked and soaked, the vines will generally flower 6 weeks after sowing.
